Day
01
Your Aloha Africa guide picks you up from your accommodation in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park for your first game drive. In the dry season the Tarangire River is a vital water source that draws wildlife, set against giant baobabs — the 'tree of life'. Look for giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lion and a wealth of birds. Lunch at a scenic campsite, more exploring in the afternoon, then dinner and overnight at your lodge.

02
After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend to the World Heritage crater floor in search of the Big Five — elephant, lion, buffalo, hippo and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Lunch at a campsite in the crater, then climb out in the afternoon and return to Arusha through Maasai country.
