Machame Gate → Machame Camp (3,015 m)
Five to six hours through the rainforest zone.

Machame → Shira Camp (3,850 m)
Up into the heath zone.

Shira → Barranco Camp (3,985 m)
Acclimatise via the Lava Tower.

Barranco Wall → Karanga Camp (4,035 m)
Not technical, but you will feel the height.

Summit Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) → Mweka Camp
Start at midnight and reach the top at dawn, then descend.
